Waxing and waning...

Right now, this minute, Bronson is moving his right arm... again.
The one he only twitched just a little bit yesterday.
The one they said might be partially paralyzed due to neurological damage.
The one that was unresponsive during the Neuro-Assessment just earlier this morning.
They say these types of brain injuries can evolve.
That there will be "waxing and waning".
.
.
...Glad to be back to the waxing!
.
So as I gave him a little sponge bath and styled his funky little faux hawk,
he batted my hand away. Cognitively. Several times.
Just like he does at home when he's bugged with my ceaseless primping and polishing.
.
I ran out and grabbed the Nurse Practitioner, Kristen.
Dr. Bennett ran in as well.
It was smiles all around the room.
I hate to say I told you so...
But ...then maybe I don't! ;)

I'm reading your story. My heart is sorry about this - tragedies like this can happen to the best parents. I'm wondering - you refer to your bishop, your state president - what denomination are you?

Whatever your hunch was in the last post I hope you communicated that to your doctors and nurses! "The Mommy" will be listening very closely to promptings. If the staff listens to you and you listen to the Spirit you can create with God. We are all praying for you, Beautiful! I have a good feeling about this little guy!!

My word! I don't know you but I am sitting here in tears for your sweet story...once again. Your faith is lifting me and inspiring me. It's hard to remember how close your heart CAN be to the spirit. It makes me remember how sweet the peace is when you have "a piece of heaven" with you. Thank you, once again, for your example. My little boy and I snuggled last night and prayed for Bronson. My little boy is seven months old and we chatted about Bronson and about our Father in Heaven. They are still so close to their Heavenly Father. I too, know that He watches over them. SO relieved to hear that he moved that tiny little arm. We will pray for MORE advancements and less set backs. This is truly a blessing from a loving loving Father in Heaven who has an unbreakable priesthood that has taken a protective hold over your family.

Choosing faith, I had never thought about it that way. It really is a choice. I would say that my cousin Matt chose well too! It really is amazing the love and kindness around the world and within our family isn't it? It is so inspiring. Thank you Sara for your words that have touched so many. The Jackmans are choosing faith also and still praying for little Bronson and your sweet family.

I, along with so many others, found you through a whole web of hopeful mothers...all conected through friends.

I have woken up the past three mornings and raced to the computer to see how little Bronson is doing. And then I've prayed. And then I've thought about you guys all day long.

Prayers are uniting everyone....and hopefully helping little Bronson's body unite itself again.

Keep being strong....if not for you, for the rest of us.

Big hugs from everywhere--especially here...

I don't know if you ever find time to read all of these, but I wanted to say thank you! Thank you for being brave enough to share this time of your life with others. I know you mostly did it for your family and friends to keep up with Bronsons progress, but I hope you realize how many mothers will love their children just a little bit more, and not take even one minute for granted, because you have shared this with others. Thank you for being brave, thank you for sharing, and may the Lord bless your family in every way possible. I am a mother of 8, my youngest being only 5 months younger than Bronson; believe me, I have hugged and kissed him more today than in many days passed. Our family is praying for sweet Bronson and when it seems like it is getting to be to heavy remember all of us, who do not know your family in a personal way, are praying for you every day.

I am so sorry that your family is going through this. I can't wait for the day that you are able to bring your sweet boy home again. God Bless you all!

So glad to hear good news. Hope it keeps coming throughout the hours, days, and weeks to come for you guys. Your last post before this was AMAZING! Thank you for sharing. My mom has told me many many many times when I worry about things in life, about my children, etc (I tend to worry a lot) that "faith and fear cannot coexist together in our minds", we must push the fear out and allow our faith to fill us. You OBVIOUSLY know this. Thank you for your testimony of it. It has strengthened my own. Prayers coming your way. :)

Yeah, we keep praying for you. We are so happy that he is showing better signs. My eight year old daughter(the one who got in a fight with your son...then became great friends) at Sabra's 30th b-day bash said our morning prayer and prayed, "that Bronson would recognise his mommy". We are waiting to hear :) Also I should have warned you of the rollercoaster ride of having a child in the PICU or the NICU. They have to tell you the worst case...which totally stinks. And sometimes our babies will take two steps forward then one back. Dang it! But we are all still praying.

This reminds me of a long time ago, when my little girl prayed for Elizabeth Smart to be brought home to her Mommy and Daddy. She prayed for her every night. I, as an adult, had lost faith and hope that Elizabeth, who we did not know personally, would be brought back to her family. But, my daughter of "pure" faith, prayed each night and truely believed that it would happen. She had no dought Heavenly Father would bring her home to them. It was a true faith one not wavering, one that I feel the spirit whisper to me as I read your blog that you posess! You are an amazing woman. I would not know you if we met on the street, and you would not know me, but through your beautiful, heartfelt, honest writings my spirit knows who you are. You are full of faith and hope. Keep praying, keep listening, keep holding your sweet boy! Know that my daughters and I are praying for your sweet family. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Prayer
changes things...
