Potty Success!

What a big boy Dayne has been lately!
He even stepped it up another notch today...
He peed on the potty!
He was soooo proud of himself!
Can you tell?
.
.
Look at that huge grin!
And those awesome Lightning McQueen underoos...
Well, if they aren't the dang cutest thing ever!
.
He was adamant about doing everything all by himself...
Flushing bye-bye...
.
.
Washing "wif soap"...
.
.
On his tippy-tippy toes...
.
And racing down to the Game Room Candy Store to pick out a sweet treat!
.
.
A Dum-dum, of course! His fave!
.
.
Hmmm...
.
.
Maybe this big boy stuff isn't so hard after all!

If the 'candy store' is your kitchen... you are a girl after my own heart!!!

Oh my goodness! Is that your kitchen? LOVE it. My 2yo just used the potty for the first time. Of course, I caught him mid-stream going on the floor, and held him up to the potty, but he was still pretty pleased with himself!

Cute! Our son is just potty trained too and I blogged about it. In the same Cars underwear too...LOL!

Great to see a post on one of the Big Boys; so normal, so everyday. I love the built-in stools in the bathroom drawers. And about that candy store... Where's the chocolate?

Love the step stool drawer, that's pure genius!!

Um and how do you NOT eat at your candy store! Absolutley amazing!!

Daynen is so darn cute! My children know Bronson through our prayers, so I just had to show my little Charlie the photos of Bronson's "big, big, big, big brother" so maybe my little one would be inspired. I take Charlie's refusal to potty train in stride and appreciate all the joys of life-- my ability to do that is so heightened by your story! Thanks for sharing another "triumph" in your family with us strangers.

Yes, I know! I DO have 3 other children! Even this month! Sad that they have been so overshadowed by this, but they aer amazing boys as well. Just plugging along, doing their best for the most part... I am so proud of all of them. This has, of course been so much for them to deal with! Your comments remind me that I need to remind them, again, how fantastic they are! And then post about THEM as well!

um, hello.....LOVE the pull-out-step-drawers in the bathroom. that is pure GENIUS! my kids would go NUTS for all that candy. how do you keep them out of it?

Janae Moss said...

haha! I love the underoos :) all I see are princess panties in pink! I bet my kids would have worked harder to potty train if I had your candy store in my basement! On the other hand, I think they would have snuck downstairs when I wasn't looking and helped themselves!

Danielle said...

ummm....can i just say that your candy store has me drooling. what an awesome idea!!! but how do your kids not get into it and just eat it all. how do YOU not do that? lol. i so might be doing this....although i may need to superglue the lids on! :)

My son has Lighting underwear too.
And I so want your game room! My husband would be drooling for hours if he saw all that candy :)

I have all the same questions about your candy store as the above posters. Please blog about it and give us the skinny!

Bless his heart! Maybe he could come over to my house to help with Julian's potty training? He will be 3 in April and although he uses the potty once in a while, he is NOWHERE near ready!!! UGH!!!

Sara,
I only know you though your heartfelt blog, you and your boys have a special place in my thoughts. We are so similar. Four kids (though mine are girls:), photography our passion (job), our faith, organization...to a unhealthy degree :):):). I just want you to know that I was so happy today, as I logged back on to see how you were doing, that you blogged about a "normal" day. You have been through so much! It made my heart so happy to see an average blog...I guess I almost wanted to cry for the joy I felt for a "normal" blog. Here is to many more "normal" days to come.
Love,
Jenn

We havew naked potty training success LOL. He is finally starting to go when he is wearing underoos too.. same ones Daynan (sp, sorry if I butchered it). I think Haydon would go a lot more if he had that choice of candy! WOW! How do you stay thin?

cmraven said...

I just noticed him standing, washing his hands. Do those pull out specifically for kids to stand on?? AWESOME! Can we live with you? What's one more boy to the mix?

Nicole said...

Yay for the potty training!

Your house is enormous! Your game room kitchen is at least twice the size of my real kitchen! I guess that's what life is being married to someone who's NOT in law enforcement, lol. Oh well, we always say, "it's okay... we are rich in love." ;-)

OH, you definitely need to blog about the "Candy Store" ~ Inquiring minds want to know!!!

I agree with whoever said she might try it, but would have to superglue the lids on! LOL!
