We live to far away to attend. However I registered myself anyways. Having spent so much time ourselves at a children's hospital we know the cost incurred on our family, as well as how much support the children's hospitals need. Please accept our registration as a thank you for sharing your most miraculous journey! You have inspired us beyond words. Bless you!

I was sent your link by a friend. As I read your story and you talked about driving down the hill to UVRMC I thought how that sounds like where I live. Then you mentioned your stake president Francom and I realized we were in the same stake. We are so happy for y'all and I am excited to attend!

As I read your blog, watch the video and witness a true miracle. I cry of praise and joy.

As I struggle with what I am currently going through, as I have been easy aggravated and with little patience with my kids....

Today I take a deep breath, give thanks and slow it down to enjoy this moment I have with them today...

And remember to continue being patient with them.

Congratulations to Bronson's second chance. I have been praying for a family now for a few months, little boy similar in age named Brody, had a pool accident and has been in a comma for several months.

I hope they too get their miracle. Please continue to pray for them as well.

And what an awesome video that was to see him walking in the hallways and the balloons to your home for his welcome..... LOVE IT! Thank you Jesus for this gift of your love and power. May this little guy always look back in his growing days and know that because of YOU he is here. May he share his story with the world as his testimony that you Lord, are God almighty.

Sara, Matt & Family - if it weren't for the fact that my boys are so young and my husband is super-busy with work right now (i.e. I feel like a single-mom!!), we would come and RUN for Bronson!!! Matt - thank you for taking the time and express your thanks on my blog last night! I was so excited... I felt like I had been contacted by a celebrity!!! :) You are very welcome.

I'm not one to comment on a blog where I have no idea who the writer is but I just wanted to say that I've recently read your story and I was taken away by it. My now 2 year old nephew's name is Bronson and he was born at 24 weeks. My family had a different kind of battle but in some ways similar to yours at Primary's Children Hospital...reading your story brought me back to that time and I'm so grateful things turned out the way they did for you. Thank you for sharing your story.

Just wanted to let you know how deeply touched I am by your story and overjoyed that you have your little boy B back. I have been praying for your family.

I saw your story on the news and was deeply touched. My son is just a couple months younger than Bronson. How many of us mom's feel your pain with you, because we have allowed ourselves to get distracted before, and have been blessed that nothing has happened?? I am so grateful you are willing to expose yourself and your family, in order to help others learn. You have inspired me. My husband and I will be at the 5k-I can't wait.

Awesome! I am really hoping to be able to make it! So far, we have no plans for that day. I would love to see the sweet cheeked little man I've been praying for!

Sounds like fun! I'm pretty much the laziest person I know so I'm guessing no running for me but I bet my kids would like the fun run. Maybe I can join them on that!
It'll be fun to see you again after all these years. Maybe a few more peeps from GHS will be there!

You don't know me and I don't know you...I was sent your blog link by a friend and I prayed for you family during your time of need. I am so happy that your little boy is home and doing so well. I have been known to walk away from my son (my little B is just a month younger than your little B) while he is bathing to get a few things done. I hope your family continues to grow stronger from this experience and know that people everywhere (even Central Missouri) are praying for good things to come for you! God Bless.

I just spent the last hour reading your story and am amazed at your strength. I am so happy for you and your miracle for your family. I think your blog will help lots of families who have had similar accidents or any type of accident to see how you dealt with yours. It was an accident and I hope that you will continue to heal and enjoy your wonderful life. You can see from the pictures that your children are very loved and happy. Take care and enjoy your children.

I have just read your blog and am in tears of joy for you and your family. Being a nurse in a critical care setting it is not often that we get to see miracles happen. This story makes it all worth it. Thanks for sharing you amazing story with all of us. My wife and I would be honored to come to the fun day planned and I will be sure to get others coming too. Thanks again for your story and your testimonies.

You bet I'm going to try my best to be there. What a great event and we'd love to participate and help celebrate!

I don't know your family but I found your blog through The R House. I spent the last hour reading about little Bronson and just wanted to say that I am praying and thinking about your family and your adorable little boy and will be every day. Accidents, whether small or large, do happen. It's part of being a parent. But I hope you focus on healing yourself rather than blaming yourself. It is clear to me (at least from these posts) that you are a GOOD MOTHER. :)

Best to all of you, Kaitlyn

Hi Staker Family! My name is Katie, I am 25 years old and live in Alpine, Utah. I have been wanting to send you a little comment for some time now, but for some reason I just couldn't compile everything that I wanted to say. Therefore, I apologize if this is jumbled or doesn't make sense...A few weeks ago, (I believe it was the day after your first blog post) my Mother sent me the link to your blog and I have been hooked ever since! I found myself checking the blog several times a day for any updates on Lil' B. I cried...I laughed...I smiled...I prayed. Lil' B struck my heart instantly. Especially since he looks like he could be my 2 year old boy, Rohme's brother LOL! I want to thank you SO much for having the courage in the beginning of all this to decide to share your experience. I have been going through some hard times of my own and your bittersweet journey has given me so much in terms of spirituality, as well as a whole knew perspective on life. It is still so strange to me that a complete stranger's experience could affect me so much! A month ago, I had didn't have a clue who Bronson Staker and family were, and now I feel like I have known your family forever! Your story genuinely touched my heart and strengthened my faith in God and the power of prayer. I have been a bit under the weather so I haven't been online for a few days, and this was the first site I wanted to went to, I was almost anxious and hopeful that there would be another update! LOL! I am indescribably happy for your family for the absolute MIRACULOUS recovery of Bronson and I am so excited for the "B Strong Fun Run"! I plan on registering right after I post this comment! It will be such fun to bring my 2 little boys, to play and have fun, "Celebrate Life", and hopefully have the honor of meeting Lil' B and your cute family. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart, you have know idea the gift you have given me <3 -Katie J. (P.S.: I hope you will continue to post updates on Bronson's recovery :)

Anonymous said...

P.S.S.: This is Katie J. again, I forgot to tell you that I have posted all the information and links for the "B Strong Fun Run" as an event on Facebook and made it an open invitation in hopes of getting as many people to attend as possible :) See you there!

yes, words can't express what and incredible journal B went through and the marvelous miracle that you are given! I am so so happy for you!! The best was seeing him WALK out of the hospital!!! What a beautiful sight!!! Miracles have NOT ceased!!!! We love you guys and are so so thankful that B is here, now, with you...give him a squeeze and a kiss from me :)!!! So so happy for all of you!! Wishing you great support and success with your fundraiser 5k to cover Bronson's medical bills. A roommate's sister works at the Primary hospital and said the hospital sometimes helps families that don't have any insurance. She said to call the hospital and ask for the billing department. good luck with the 5k.
