What the...?

This is what it LOOKS like outside in our yard today:
Trees and flowers in beautiful bloom...
.
Butterflies gliding from flower to flower...
.
It's May, afterall... not crazy unpredictable April... but May.
.
My HEAT just clicked on in the house.
It's 45 for a HIGH today, currently 36.
(Need I remind you, it was sunny and in the 80's just a few short days ago...)
I'm officially annoyed.
.
And does this look RIGHT to anyone?
.
Robins, the token carrier-bird of Springtime, in the SNOW?
.
It's tragic, really...
. . . .
I copied this off my friend Jenn's blog and it pretty much sums up my feeling precisely...

Dear Old Man Winter,

I do not regret to inform you that you have worn out your stay here and are no longer welcome.

Please know that I am anxiously awaiting your hasty departure. I will not miss you. I will not be sad when you are gone. Furthermore, please do not return or rear your ugly head around here for at least another 7 months. Please be advised that upon said return, you will be required to sign a contract stating that you will only be present for a maximum of 120 days, at which time you will be required to leave promptly... No lingering allowed... No exceptions!

Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to the matter. Your vacancy of the premises is required immediately. No exceptions.

Sincerely,
Ready for Spring about 30 days ago

I am with you, thoroughly annoyed! I have great tan lines from yard work on Saturday and lounging in the back yard on Sunday. Not to mention... you were swImmIng! Now this horrible, rotten, no good OLD MAN WINTER creeps in again and gives us the winter blues. I just might 'borrow' your letter and pics for mine.

Those pictures are so beautiful, though! You made me forget how ugly the cold is.

Will we ever have a Spring again? I heard "Frosty the Snowman" on the radio today and decided that I want to move to Texas :)

Three days ago I had the AC on and now I am back to the heat! What is the deal?! I can't wait for spring to finally get here and stay!!

I loved that letter - those pictures are AWESOME! As far as spring goes, I'm not getting my hopes up. When Kiana was in 2nd grade, 2 years ago, I went on her field trip to the zoo on MAY 18th and it snowed the entire morning. After all, we live in Utah. :) We could all move to San Diego and buy an entire neighborhood together! I'm up for it!

I LOVE THESE PICS!! They make me want to put on a pretty spring dress and go out in the back yard and read more Twilight! ;) However... you never know when the snow is going to appear these days!
