The One & Only Princess!

SoooOOOoooo... Drum-Roll please....
.
Here's the news...
.
I am keeping my Tiara!
.

.

I will remain the sole reigning "Princess" of "Castle Staker"

for at least the forseeable future!

(Fitting since the name "Sara" is actually Hebrew for "Princess"... so maybe this was destined to be...)

.

The Ultrasound showed an unmistakable view of Little Monkey #4...

.

That's right...

He's a BOY!

We also saw his handsome little profile

.

All 10 fingers...

.

and his little spine!

.

I know it's not the earth-shaking news you were all hoping to hear, but please be assured that there are no condolences necessary...

We are sincerely excited about the idea of adding another Handsome Little Man to our Collection and are just happy to see his healthy little heartbeat and all his little parts developing just as they should be!

Matt & I feel like Little Boy Specialists, so it's not nearly as overwhelming a thought as throwing a ruffley-bummed "foreigner" in the mix... (although that would have been fun, too!)

Our home has become accustomed to little bodies climbing onto and jumping off of everything, ,

constant wrestling-until-someone-gets-hurt,

gross unmentionable body noises (and odors!),

a consistently whirling arsenal of everyday weaponry (swords, sticks, kitchen utensils... you name it!),

crumbs, dirt and other miscellaneous and "mysterious" smudges and oozings,

Super-hero capes made out of any/everything,

blanket forts and scary stories,

Sports for every Season,

cars, trucks, airplanes, tractors, boats, choo-choo trains and anything else that goes,

holes (seriously, in everything!),

balls of every variety rolling and bouncing off of things that they shouldn't,

selective hearing/attention spans,

and LOUD-ness & chaos at least 5 decibels above the norm!
.

This is our life and we LOVE it! We wouldn't trade a single one of them... REALLY!

.

So I guess I must be enough "Girl" to handle all of them, even though I am going to be more outnumbered than ever!

(...Which just means that I will be looking for lots of excuses to get out with the girlies for a good GNO, a pedicure, an afternoon shopping, and or a good old- fashioned Chic-Flick!)

I too thought it was a girl when I saw the tiara! I was for sure it was a girl, I kept checking your blog to see. I agree with everything you said about having another boy....you couldn't have put it more perfectly! CONGRATS!!!!I am so happy for you! Names???

Sara said...

Oh, sorry... for those of you who are "new" to our blog, his name will be Bronson Micheal. (We decided a while back on both a boy and a girl name...) "Bronson" means "Strong one" and Micheal" means "One who is like God" (and is after Matt's awesome older brother, whom we adore). Are we awful for naming him that knowing that his initials will be "BS"? Even if he uses a middle initial "BMS" (even worse)!

I thought both you and Rachelle would get your girls this time! I am really surprised but so so grateful that the little guys are so healthy and I know they will be so cute and fun as always.
Can't wait to meet them. The time is going by so fast that the "Boys" will be here before we all know it.
Love you,
Auntie L

You're a good teaser---I thought for SURE when I saw the tiara that it was going to be a girl, but, alas, no. LOVE the name!! (We have two Bronson's in our neighborhood-one a 6 foot 5 Samoan football player that is awesome and a 2 year old bright-eyed darling boy). Anyway, congrats!

Congratulations! I think the ultrasound day it is the most exciting time of pregancy (aside from delivery, of course).

You got me with the tiara trick! But he is MOST DEFINITELY a boy on that first ultrasound picture.

Bronson & Daynen are going to have way too much fun together, you think?

Congrats! Another boy will be just perfect for your cute little family. Maybe that just means you will have to try again for a girl.
Bronson is such a cute name.

Oh Sara! I know exactly what you mean--or maybe Scott can relate to you a little better than I can. We live next door to a family of 6 boys. The mom says, "Sure I'd like to have a girl! But there's not one of my boys I'd trade!" --CARRIE

I guess we will just have to try again for our girls! I could not wait for your post so my mom and I cheated and called Peggy. I was shocked. I really thought it was a girl. Good thing boys are so dang fun! Yea for boys! Also you looked beautiful in your pictures!

Congratulations to you! What incredible ultra-sound pictures...you could see everything so well. Amazing! =) I loved reading about all the boyness in your house. It really is ALL SO TRUE! Even if we only experience it in the form of one around here. Congrats!

Congratulations!!! Mothers of 4 boys ROCK!! Maybe I am bias because my mother had 4 boys. I wouldn't count your chicken before it is hatched. T-y was supposed to be a girl. The ultrasound tech stated, with 99.9% certainty, that T-y was going to be a girl. She even went on to say that she didnt see any boy parts, just girl parts. I was speechless when my "girl" was born with some boy parts. Hopefully your ultrasound boy will remain a boy.

That is so neat! Of course that is coming from a mom of 4 boys.Do you remember me? Life is never boring with boys. Im sorry to say that the smells never get better. They invite friends over and the room is unbearable. I keep oust air spray handy.:)

Brittanie said...

WOW and CONGRATS! It's a funny feeling, finding out your 3rd or 4th boy or girl.=) It's definitely not a bad thing, just a shock. I love the saying, "Why mess with perfection!"

We had Ken on a Mother's Day. This was before ultra sounds so I just knew he was a girl. HIs name was Katie the whole time I carried him. Karon calls me and says, "is SHE cute" and I said "HE sure is" He is a very handsome boy and we wouldn't trade him for the world. We just got back from China after visiting him for 10 days. He had his maid come in and make sure things were clean for us, took us for massages, bought us dinner, help bargain for the best deals in his Chinese language that he speaks fluently, he showed us all around China and actually just took care of us for 10 days. Boys are great. Sara you're the best, attitude is everything!

Jessica said...

Congrats dude! Well, you must be a good mom to be able to handle all those boys!! :) You should keep going and you guys could soon have a full baseball team. They are going to be great friends...I'm excited for you.

As I said in my email, I am thrilled for you, empowered for you, and in awe of everything you accomplish. BTW, who looks so beautiful at the ultrasound? You looked radiant!
